On the purple loop conditions were well groomed for skate except a little icy from freezing rain. Classic tracks had a couple of inches of snow in them.

Skated the blue trail about 3:00pm. The 3 or so inches of new snow were being groomed while we were there. Excellent ski even on the areas that had not been groomed yet. Another inch or so had fallen while we skied.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We have received 5-6" of fresh snow and anticipate more snow before this event ends. Our groomers attempted to pack the trail this morning but the snow has not bonded to the ice underneath and the equipment kept sliding off the trail which can be dangerous when working on trails with steep inclines/declines adjacent to deep kettles. We are going to allow the snow to set up and will make another attempt to groom the McMiller system tomorrow.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
It has been actively sleeting or raining all day today. Trail conditions are deteriorating and you should expect ice on all trails and standing/ponding water in the low areas. Rangers will head out Saturday to clear trails of downed limbs and hope we get enough new snow to groom Sunday night.

Entire system re-groomed this morning. Fresh corduroy and nice tracks. Great coverage! It was a bit slower than yesterday as the temps had gotten above freezing early. It is cloudy and a bit of fog so not a lot of melting. Beautiful trails!

It was almost heaven skiing at McMiller. Only some soft snow in a few spots. Tracks looked excellent too! Well covered with deep snow. Will ski it again before the warm up. Groomed very well!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomers are back out on the trail! We should have everything freshly packed and tracked by the end of the day today. Weekend temps are expected to be above normal, so enjoy these great conditions while you can! If nighttime temperatures are above freezing as expected this weekend, groomers will stay off the trails in order to preserve conditions. We will be back out as soon as the temperatures drop below freezing and the snow is re-frozen (not soft/wet). Thanks for your patience as we deal with this crazy weather - groomers are doing their best with what nature is giving us.

Very good conditions at McMiller. Groomers went over and over the new snow to get a solid base. Of course it's still slow and in places still soft, but overall much better than I expected this afternoon. Classic tracks were solid and deep.

Trails are covered well and a firm skating deck. Tracks looked superb too! One or two spots that are thin but easily avoidable. Great grooming.
