Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All trails have been Pisten Bully groomed to full width. New classic tracks were set and skate decks are in excellent condition. Colder temperatures overnight firmed up the base and made for optimal grooming conditions. By far the best trail conditions this winter. Current Trail Conditions/Notes: Packed Trail Base: Average 8+ inches, Snowfall last 24 Hours: 0", Snowfall last 7 Days: 2-4", Average Depth off the Trail: >24".

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skied all the trails today in above freezing temps. Deck is soft and uneven and tree debris is everywhere, therefore the B skis suggestion. Classic may have been the better choice today due to the slow conditions. Pole punch throughs were common. The cleanest and firmest trails were the Snowman loops and East Overlook. Having all trails open was a huge effort. Now just need some colder temps and fresh snow to cover debris.

[ Good skis ]
Skied pincushion mountain loop+ to upper snowman. Mountain loop had lots of pines down. They did a good job cleaning but watch for some debris and and small roller coaster section near the overlook. Green loops had very little debris. Everything was pretty fast with good classic tracks.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All fallen trees (>100) were cleared by volunteers over the past two days and all trails on the system have been groomed and tracked. Interior loops (Hilfiker, Morris Maze) were groomed with one pass only (skate and classic) so expect narrower trail there.  Current Trail Conditions/Notes: Packed Trail Base: Average 8+ inches, Snowfall last 24 Hours: <1", Snowfall last 7 Days: 2-4", Average Depth off the Trail: >24".

Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Volunteers spent the day clearing several dozen fallen trees from the Green loops and Pincushion Loop. Grooming plans: Those trails are being groomed this evening. Volunteers will be back tomorrow to clear many more fallen trees from the advanced trails and we'll re-groom after that. There is a lot of debris on the trails from the windstorm.  Current Trail Conditions/Notes: Packed Trail Base: Average 8+ inches, Snowfall last 24 Hours: <1", Snowfall last 7 Days: 2-4", Average Depth off the Trail: >24".

[ B skis ]
We skied the easy loops. Most times we were skiing in a tire groove. There is a trail for classic only but not great. It looks like a vehicle drove around to help clear trees. The tracks for classic are in the groove of that tire. There is no plowing in the middle - still blown snow. So, not groomed but ski-able in classic style. Easy loops had no down trees but you could see where there was.

Morning
Observation
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We've been getting hammered by cold gale-force winds (60MPH + gusts) since Friday morning. With the forecast, no grooming will be done until Monday, and the first priority will be to survey the trails and remove fallen trees, trail obstructions and high drifts. We'll keep you posted.   Current trail conditions/notes: Packed Trail Base: Average 6+ inches, Snowfall last 24 Hours: 1-2" with high winds and drifting, Snowfall last 7 Days: 20-25", Average Depth off the Trail: >24".

Headed out for a longer freestyle ski today. Beautiful grooming along entire Pincushion loop...snow getting slower with the sub freezing temps but still had some glide. My ski ended abruptly when I ran into a pack of 10 wolves in the outer loop along the Ridge. Breathtaking but a little nerve wrecking.

Skied the lit trails Tuesday night and it was newly groomed and glorious. A little soft but overall terrific conditions.

Pincushion Loop had a few one foot brown spots/debris on back side in pines, otherwise it had a good track all the way around. Both Snowmen Loops and West Overlook had good tracks and cover the whole way.
