It was a great ski for me; easily got back into the grove. Yes, a leaf here and there but no trigs or branches. Beautiful day out! Found a pair of sunglasses, copperish color framed wire rim.

Trail was suprisingly nice given the weather this week. It was recently groomed with double tracks. There are still some sticks and leaves in the wooded areas. The outer set of tracks is thin in spots. The tracks were an interesting combination of soft fresh snow and soft ice. Waxless fishscales worked well with the new snow and temperatures around freezing.

The groomer reset classic tracks on all trails today. Conditions were excellent with the exception of the northeast section of the Sucker Lake loop. The truck lane forced the groomer to leave a single track for part of the section and even that track was sketchy in spots. I would recommend going counter clockwise around the lake to avoid hitting the bad spots while going down the big hill. Other than that section, the tracks were in perfect mid-season condition.

Fully tracked after the last snow and still in good shape - best conditions in years. Lots of folks out enjoying the conditions.

Good conditions. The only concern is the salt spray on the north end near Hwy 96. Trails still well tracked since last groom in general. A couple downhill ski outs but to be expected.

Skied vadnais section south of County F. Great conditions! And beautiful! Thanks to low wind there were almost no leaves on the trail. Nice!

It's gorgeous, the nicest trail conditions I've experienced on these trails! Groomed for classic. I skied both north and south of County Road F.

Beautiful snow, temp in the teens. I did fall over when I put my pole in the snow at the side of the track, leaned a bit, and the pole sunk 6 inches.

Started skiing the Vadnais trail on a rolled base a little after 10:00. Met the groomer as he was coming back and skied the rest of the way on beautiful freshly set tracks. As good as it gets!

The Sucker Lake loop has been one of my favorite trails on the north side of the Twin Cities, so I decided to try. Such a pleasant little area, but the trails haven't been groomed in a long time and are only fair at best. Enough snow base, just obliterated tracks in many spots. The short edge along Hwy 96 is gritty from plow throw as is usually the case (thus my B ski rec - it's the only section like that). The trail around the east side of the lake is very interrupted by tire tracks due to tree work that seems to never be finished, but it has just washed out the ski tracks and not left dirt/grit. Can't enjoy the rolling hills in this area due to this condition. There were quite a few skiers out, and I hope the next snowfall allows Ramsey County to groom properly.
