With the 2-3 inches of new snow, bot east and west loops were reset today. Tracks are deep and will set up nicely with the falling temperatures. Should provide some nice skiing conditions for the weekend.

The groomers had just completed a re-grooming, which turned out great. The hard pack was churned up, corduroy laid down, and nice tracks were set. Very pleasant day for a ski. As always, the groomers have done an excellent job, especially considering the tricky conditions.

Exceptional conditions prevail at this system. The track is firm and snow cover is good. With warm weather heading our way, this could be one of the bright spots in Northern Wisconsin, well into the weekend. As a bonus, with some southerly breezes, the birding could become outstanding, as I encountered both grouse and raptors, this afternoon. Eight great miles of finely maintained classic trail, minutes from Highway 51. A great idea, if you are out skiing in the Northwoods, this week.

Received a few inches of new snow this morning and afternoon. The tracks were reset this afternoon and should firm up nicely overnight. Get out there before the deer mess them up.

Three inches of snow fell here yesterday. The tracks were reset this afternoon. With the cold temperatures the tracks will be solid, and will allow for some fine skiing conditions.

Skied the east loop today. The tracks are hanging in there. There are a few thin spots, but nothing to mess up anyone's skiing experience.

Conditions are still very good. The groomers have done the best they can with what little they have to work with. Only a couple of little rough spots, they can easily be seen and stepped over. The small amount of snow we received last week really improved things.

A few dirt spots and two very visible rocks, but otherwise very good conditions. A couple of inches of snow could make a big difference. If you're looking for a nice old school classic trail that's an easy cruiser, Nose Lake is it. As always, thank you groomers!

As perfect as can be...thanks to RASTA for such sublime work! The West Loop is immaculate, the East, a bit less so, but still, incredible. Tracks are hard and fast, woods are beautiful. Best in the North in my opinion, as of this morning....

Skied the east loop this morning. Tracks are in good shape, but in the open areas some grass is poking through. The segment going through a recent logging operation is bumpy, with some sticks poking through.
