Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
10" new snow since I groomed Monday evening. It was challenging to get the Grant-in-Aid trails packed as the deep snow made it easy to get stuck. Also did a couple passes on the biathlon trails with the PistenBully. Trails are in awesome shape (albeit maybe a bit soft, depending on how things set up), and the woods are beautiful with the deep snow (somewhere between knee and thigh deep if you step off the trails). Come out and ski!

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The entire system has been groomed to perfection with set tracks, lots of them for the MSYL skiers on Sunday. Enjoy! Warm temps and refreeze will make for some fast skiing on the smooth surface. This morning there was just enough texture get an edge.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
It snowed throughout the day. Morning skate skiing was great when the snow was only an inch deep over 2" base of hardpack snow/ice. By afternoon snow accumulation of 3" made skate skiing a little more work than classic. Track set on 1 k of man-made snow. Groomer packed trails late afternoon and more grooming tonight and early tomorrow morning. Merry Christmas!

Man made loop (1.5k) fantastic with firm classic track and this morning corduroy skate lane. Can use best skis on man made area. Skiing on top not groomed for classic, but about 5k more is skiable with B skis.
