Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails were groomed today. Tracks should set up nicely overnight. The trail on top of Alpine seems to have been adopted by the deer; please cut them some slack, as reading isn't required to be a deer. With the snow depth in the woods getting deeper, they are increasingly using the ski trails to move. Pit Run is in as good condition as Pit Run gets, the downhills have been brushed back, the trails packed and flattened -- it's old style skiing as good as it gets.

All trails except Pit Run have had tracks set. After multiple passes to break up iced tracks and deck, the results looked very good in most places. The narrow section through the pines at the bottom of Alpine is still difficult to get full depth tracks due to a few contributing factors. The tree with it's location in the sun on the windswept crest at the top of Alpine, has bare grass around it with ice patches. Side stepping to get to the track, or doing a little detour around might be better than attempting to ski over the ice and grass combination. Conditions for weekend skiing look terrific!

Took multiple passes to break up the icy chunks plus mix in some base and side snow to get a consistency that would form track cuts. Didn't get to Pit Run, Alpine or The Gulch. The old tracks still look skiable. Hopefully yesterdays dusting of snow should help with kick and control in the old tracks. Looks like a great weekend of weather for skiing is on tap.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Tried to groom and reset track but recent weather made for firm conditions. I was not able to set track as deep as old track that was already there so left it on most of the trail hoping to preserve as much snow as possible. There was some recent snow this week that is in the track preventing them from being glazed and in good condition.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails have been groomed. A few sticks and leaves down from the wind but should set up solid. Cold dry snow did not want to form full deep tracks but better than blazing trail.

Trails were just groomed and in great shape. Pit run was not groomed but has been skied in. Deer traffic can be high in some areas but still good.

It was a gorgeous day with perfect trail conditions- suitable for myself and some speedy youngsters who are learning to ski. We enjoyed glide hill immensely between alpine and pit runs, repeating it three times for speeds over 18mph.

Best all-around condition yet this season -at least for waxable skiis. Great glide in tracks and downhill control in untracked corduroy. Pit Run tracks a bit shallow but ground and debris almost fully covered.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All tracks were broken down, boot post holes plus wild and domestic animal divots were filled and flattened. The sunshine and warmer temps helped some of the bent over trees and brush redevelop more normal vertical stature. This will hopefully lessen the need to activate as many dodging skills on Pit Run and Alpine. Finally both are shaping up towards a C grade. The track cuts looked at max depth. It looks like a green and or blue wax weekend is ahead to enjoy the fresh groom. The parking lot towards evening had approximately a dozen cars in it, good to see the trails getting used by skiers.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All trails were groomed today. Track cuts looked pretty solid. Pit Run and Alpine remain a little less than top condition with some overhang and trail debris remaining. Both are very skiable, but just not in full steam ahead race mode. It was great to see all of the skiers enjoying the trails today.
