Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
We parked along the road just inside the main entrance to Jackson Meadows and accessed the trail on the west side of the community. The trail was fairly wide having been rolled by twice (side by side) by their groomer. We headed south on the trail and it was pretty soft, with a fillet of unrolled snow between the two passes. We followed the trail around the the development where it turned north and eventually completed the loop. The trail on the east side was still a bit soft, but other than that the skiing was wonderful. The trail winds around through some beautiful wooded areas and is curvy and rolling. When we completed our loop we noticed that the groomer had made another pass down the middle of the trail and had eliminated the wedge (fillet) of snow. This trail is really scenic and with a little cool weather should set up nicely. There wasn't any evidence of classic tracks.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We spent the weekend rolling and waiting out the wind. Trails were packed and tracked Sunday. Conditions are good, though there are a lot of pine needles and oak leaves, which is the reason for the B skis recommendation.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Winter wonderland out here at Jackson Meadow!! All trails are packed and tracked. Conditions are excellent, though soft in a few places. Trails should firm up with cold temps. We will continue to run the groomer around this week to pack the trails some more.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Trails are packed for skating and the base is 1-3". Some easily avoidable grass poking through with a few thin spots (also avoidable), and the wind dumped its usual helping of oak leaves. Conditions are not ideal, but definitely skiable and for late Nov/early Dec we will take it!
