We ran both Ginzus on all trails this morning after about 2" of new snow yesterday. It was below zero but sunny- a fine day to be out. Tracks and corduroy look very nice. We groomed one short new section on the Blue trail which is quite rough but skating should be ok if you are careful.

About 2" of new snow, after rain, made for excellent grooming conditions. We pulled both Ginzus on all trails, including the recently logged Blue trail. The main Blue between the two ends of Chris's Return is rough! All the rest of the Blue is fine, and Little Blue Hill Trail is great. Good corduroy, firm tracks everywhere.

Had a great session on Saturday. I did the Green Loop and the beginning portion of the Orange Loop (up until the northern Blue Trail intersection). Tracks were in great condition and I had a blast skiing. I didn't see much debris on the tracks. Saw quite a few cars in the parking lot so I'm happy to see more people using this trail system!

After a couple of inches snow over last few days we were able to refresh the skate deck and reset track on all open trail's except the main blue. Loggers are hauling wood out on that section. It was nice to get some cover on the tree debris on the West side of the trail.

The trails have held up well through the warm stretch, but the skate deck needed a little refreshing. The ginzu scratched up the surface nicely and the result is better than expected with no new snow to work with. We left the track in place, most of which is in good shape, albeit a little icy with the warm days and cool nights. We're still waiting on the loggers to complete their sale on the Blue Trail, hopefully next week. They helped us with opening a couple of new loops that we are anxious to try out.

Mechanical issues continue, but we got the new Titan on the trail with the old Tidd until we get it wired for the Ginzu. We have 15 K groomed and tracked, including portions of the Blue trail not affected by the logging. Soft conditions this afternoon with temps in the low 30s, but should cool down enough tonight to set up.

2" snow overnight. All trails groomed and tracked. The Renegade Trail was packed but remains closed until we get more snow. There were no skiers out this morning as the temp never got above zero.

The Green, Orange, Yellow, Red and Blue Return trails were groomed with the ginzu and tracked for the first time this season. Mechanical issues with the tracker led to an improvised pattern, but striders will appreciate the deep tracks which should set up with cold temps.

[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
We hauled the groomers in today and had several inches of powder to groom over a rolled base. Despite some equipment issues we groomed about 12k with the ginzu. Still not enough snow to set track. The Green, Orange, Yellow and Red loops are open full width. The Blue trail to Voyageurs National Park remains closed until logging is completed. The Blue Return was rolled by the logger and will be open to skiing soon.
