Skied the very nicely groomed trails late this afternoon. Beautiful! I want to thank the county for doing this for us. Wish more people would get out and use our wonderful trails, but for those of us who do, we greatly appreciate your work! Hoping that we can sometime get the remainder of the trails going too. Thanks.

Observation
First time trying to ski here. Pretty disappointed, after driving 25 miles, to not be able to find the trailhead. Big snow banks totally lined the parking area. Not knowing where the trail actually was, I tried to look over the snowbanks all the way around but couldn't see them. The driveway was open all the way back to the Taconite snowmobile trail so I was going to ski that and try to find the trails from the middle somewhere, but then loaded logging trucks started pulling out of there. It would be nice if the plow trucks didn't block the trails.

Beginner loop packed and groomed by Mika with Itasca Co Land Dept. Fine job, wish there was more (soon?). After logging, utilizing second loop of xc ski trails, perhaps groom 10k entirely. Timing. I shovelled out biffy door in parking lot, missing TP though. Go now!
