Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed with a single track for classic only. Was a sunny -15F in the morning and warmed up to -2F by the time we started at 11:30 am. Very pleasant in the woods with minimal wind. Lots of wolf tracks and some moose tracks. We parked at the Flathorn Lake picnic parking. We skied 15 K today. Plenty of snow and very peaceful.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails were freshly groomed for classic skiing. There was a fresh dusting of snow and I'd say they might have been just a little slow, but way better than being icy!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
After almost 2 weeks of minimal new snowfall, we finally accumulated enough over the past week to groom productively. Groomed on Thursday and very good conditions throughout the trail system. Still a small section between 13 and 21 blocked with downed trees.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Good conditions at Flathorn Gegoka trails. Plenty of snow and tall trees. Classic only. Grooming this week should make these trails excellent. Skied the whole system while staying at National Forest Lodge which is a wonderful experience.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
A dusting of fluffy snow Saturday have freshened up the trails. No recent grooming, but skiing should be still decent with a bit of track set deterioration. Very little trail litter. Still a small section between 13 and 21 with trees clearing required.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Lack of new snow and a couple of warmer days have made grooming counter productive this past week. There is still a good base but the track sets will be poor until we get some fresh snow. All the trails are cleared except 13 to 21.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
All the trails are cleared except 13 to 21. The lack of additional snow in the past week+ of cold temps means the tracks have deteriorated and many on the west side are packed but not tracked. Our sled is back in action and now we need a few inches to go out and groom again.
