The loop at the state park is near perfect. If you don't have time to run out to Greenbush, head on down south - there are still 2 hours of daylight to enjoy the trail! Especially nice for beginner skiers, rusty skiers, or skiers that can't afford to fall and break a bone (ME!).

First one out this morning so I enjoyed the beauty of skiing in the gently falling snow. Yesterday's skiers had put in two parallel tracks on the camp road portions of the trail and I skied the left hand one (told the skiers starting as I left to ski in the other side:)

Trails were in very good shape this morning. Haven't been groomed, but there are good classic tracks established. Was there when it was snowing and enjoyed a great ski.

Perfect! Not groomed but trail set by skiers before me. Actually I hope they don't groom--would compress the light base too much. All areas covered with snow. Get out now before the hikers and their dogs get out (they don't always respect the ski trail) or the wind brings down debris. Just a couple areas showed potential grass with use and sun. The cooler air meant the snow was fast.

Get out now! Nice snow first thing this morning but grooming started as I finished. I assume they were laying track but I don't have firsthand knowledge. There are some thin parts. The area along the road by the beach will get sun today and will likely have significant patches of grass by the end of the day.

Enjoyable and safe 2 mile loop at Kohler-Andre State Park. Groomer packed the recent 9 inch snowfall down to a couple inches to enable pleasant classic skiing. No groomed tracks, but skiers created their own tracks. Skating is not an option. Snow coverage is complete today, but not likely to survive warm temps. I started with B skis, but did final laps with my best classic skis. Minimal needles or leaves, so kick wax was not a problem.
