Wow! Hats off to the snow making and grooming crew. Skied this morning on very cold snow but in great condition. I love the expanded man-made snow loop. If you want some good hill training this is it. I wish my phone/camera didn't shut down in the cold. It was a beautiful morning to be on these trails. Sorry I don't have a picture to share.

Fantastic early morning conditions at Hyland on the entire 5K man-made loop, and top-notch sunrise as well. Surprisingly fast conditions given the cold temps - or maybe I'm just getting used to it. Either way, thanks to the grooming crew!

What a difference 10 degrees makes on the man made loop. Conditions were excellent this evening. Just enough soft snow for a good push and excellent control going downhill. All the bad areas of classic track have been resolved. Great job by the crew giving us a great course in a so far dry winter.
Hyland crew posted about the outer trails being rolled -- I still have not tried them.

Excellent conditions on the full 5K man-made loop at Hyland. The snow is clean and firm and neatly groomed. The classic tracks are deep and sharply set. Just wonderful and it warms the heart if not the fingers to see the parking lots full despite the dry sharp chill. Thank you Hyland for bailing us out during another dry run up to the New Year.

Stuck to the man-made trail. Conditions were perfect for skating and the classic tracks are well set and not washed out. Zero must be the threshold for many people as the parking lot was getting full by 4pm.
