Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Snowmaking loop had good conditions around noon, though my old skis felt a little draggy. The loop is pretty short still, Elm Creek and Wirth might be better options if you live on the north end. Saw the legendary Roy Carlsted out striding!

Great condition on the man-made trail. Looks like they should have frog pond open soon. Lots of people enjoying the well groomed snow.

Checked out the snow making near the chalet. The guns are blazing! Several feet deep at the trailhead. Can't wait to get back on the boards...won't be long from the looks of it.

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed, Bare ground ]
The date for opening Star and Willow; the first 2 trails (1.7mi) is Thursday, Dec 14th. The cold evening temps has maximized the snowmaking, but the warmer temps above 27 degrees has and will reduce or stop the process.  There is a maintenance crew on 24/7, keeping the snowguns operating as long as possible.
