8 degrees, sunny, no wind, untracked corduroy on all trails. Conditions as good as they have been all winter. Good classic track but base is thin in spots (b skis) . Skate track is in excellent shape would not hesitate to use good skis. Parking lot had 3 cars.

Thought I'd take a try at William O'Brien yesterday hopeful the fresh snow was enough to cover. Obviously ice base underneath and trails weren't groomed. I'm still relatively new to skiing, but just couldn't get an edge and poles were just digging in to ice. Just did a quick loop and decided to wait for more snow :) I know they had to cancel the William O'Brien ski race coming up this Sunday due to conditions on the trail. Such a bummer as its such a beautiful park and when there's snow they do an awesome job of grooming. So, will patiently wait for another snowfall!

WOB has snow but it was pretty icy with very little purchase for skating. It was as fast as I've ever seen it. I skied the flats only- you'd need some real stones to do the hills out there today. The long grade that leads to the turnoff to South America was about as fast as I could take it - it was a good day to not fall. Be super careful as there is not a lot of braking power with the trails right now.

Hopped on the trails around 11:30 am just as the groomers were rolling off. Fantastic snow and grooming made for a beautiful morning skate-skiing. No wind, warm temps, beautiful skate deck and classic tracks set (my kids stayed in the classic tracks.) Take advantage! Nice job, WOB!

What a beautiful day of skiing my small group had at Wm O'Brien today. Even though there were a few washed out sections, most of the classic track was good and fast. The snow in the skate lane was very compliant, making the downhills easy and fun. The blue sky and mild temps with no wind promoted several pauses for socializing. It doesn't get much better! Get out there tomorrow if you can before it changes.

The inner loop was scratched this morning. The classic track was not touched. Classic was still good but many more washouts than yesterday. It would be nice to have it reset before the freeze thaw cycle starts. Skating looked good. Lots of folks out today.

Best conditions at O'Brien in maybe 5 years. The grooming was high quality. The classic tracks were well positioned and carefully cut, the skating lane flat and no center berm. The grooming must have been done a few days back because everything had set up well. Timing of the grooming is so important in order to get that set up period, it was done right this time.

Perfect day! Gorgeous sunny day at Wm. O'Brien. Used my waxless good skis, only one tiny area of twigs/pine needles. Lots of happy skaters and classic skiers like myself. Tracks were set and downhills fast. Wonderful day, get out and enjoy!

Woohoo! Great day of skiing. Good snow coverage and firm set tracks. We skied the entire outside loop. Hills were in good shape. Thank you to the groomers for superb job.

Was out at William O'Brien this morning around 9:30am. Groomers had done the inner loops (not sure of the names of those,) but front office said the outer loops would be done by noon. I'm not an "expert" skier nor know much about what is "good" snow, but was a bit slow-going as snow is still thick in spots (not packed down,) and still pretty soft. But great grooming, nonetheless and a beautiful morning to be out. Bet in a day or two it'll be even more awesome!
