Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Trails were rolled and had skied in tracks. The 1/2" of new snow gave a nice kick. Snow was soft and a bit slow but it was really great to get out and get after it.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails have been rolled but not groomed. Shallow skied in classic track. Skating deck was soft and not very even. This was my second stop in my Tour of Marine. While talking to some folks at the visitors center an SUV drove by on the ski trail. Did not look like a park vehicle.

Rutted with lots of ridges. A foot of snow in the last 10 days but....? Disappointing. Skated a full outer loop after lunch. No classic track.

Trails have been packed but classic tracks were still only man-made which was surprising since there appeared to be enough snow to set tracks. Tracks were quite worn and sloppy and often you had to step into another set. Skate deck looked better but it was quite chopped up and there were some grooves in it. There were spots where you were skiing on a side slope. Probably too negative since it was a beautiful day and I did enjoy the skiing, but WOB used to have such great grooming I might have been spoiled.

Trails were rolled today but not groomed. The skied-in classic track from the morning was mostly gone. Pretty soft and uneven in places. Good coverage. Only 5 cars in the lot.

Stillwater team was out in full force this morning. Good coverage (except for under the bridge). The inner loops are rolled, the outer are not. I skied in the classic tracks of the ski team - all but South America. The practice loop in hard packed but bumpy for skating.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Everything has been rolled but soft, expect to hit the ground with your skis. Beware on the downhills, especially the one after the tracks and the last hill. I walked both and saw many rocks. Did not ski South America. Skating was soft but best choice. I classiced today, no track but it is what I do. Beautiful day.

6" of light fluffy snow--really nice texture and good coverage for sure. The trails were being rolled as we skied. It was not without a price as we encountered a few buzzworms hitting the no-waxers on the downhill off the railroad tracks.

Skied the loop around the wet lands, they had just rolled the trail. Not all trails rolled yet and not many skiers out there. Good coverage, soft and fluffy where there is no grooming, beautiful to be out there and on skis again!

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Conditions: Mostly snow covered with 1 to 2 inches of fresh snow - no base.
Given the lack of snow and the saturated state of the snow it was a decidedly fun, but really old-school ski this morning. I did not do any of the larger hills and walked down the last hill, but Rode Rosa was the ticket. It did not improve skiing to have a skied in track, since it was usually dirt at the bottom of the track.
