[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
2.2k now open per my Garmin. New section almost takes you into the lower stadium but instead you take a sharp right and climb back up the catwalk and after another hill, hook back up with the shorter loop that was open last weekend. The new section needs to be groomed again as it is a little uneven but hey, who is complaining. Overall great skiing this morning with lots of hills. You should be able to use your good skis.

Firsthand: Freestyle Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
We opened up more trail last night for a total of 2.2 km. It didn't get very cold last night so the new section of trail is still a little soft but we have some nice hills to ski now! Be on the lookout for thin snow (only 3-4") just past Jim's Hill and through the temporary turn around. It was either no additional 500 m of trail or some thin snow. I still skied with my good skis this morning, but depending on how warm it gets today, maybe the 3-4" will need some repair. Most of the trail is groomed for classic, double tracked where possible. It is a little bumpy on the newly opened section because the snow is so soft. The only sure way to get the snow even, is to float the blade, but doing so last night just made it worse because the blade kept sinking in the softness.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
It was good to be on the trails this morning. The classic tracks were a bit soft in places, but the groomers had set two parallel tracks in places, which is a nice addition. 1.75 km sure beat the 400m track we had just a couple of weeks ago. Kudos to the snowmakers and the groomers!

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
We opened 500 more meters (1.75k total) of Ridgeline trail between coaches corner and four corners tonight. Continue to access via the stairs behind the Trailhead.
Note: This newly opened section between four corners and coaches corner is lacking trail lighting. Electrical repairs are scheduled for early next week.

Stunning sunrise and gorgeous grooming on the 1.25k loop this morning! The best part about about morning loops is watching the progression of the sunrise over downtown. Fast and clean snow! Great for classic and skating. Front parking lot full at 6:30. This is the place to be, can't believe it's not even December yet.

For the just over 1k of loop that is open - no need to bring the B skis - plenty of snow. Only word of caution is the corners off the downhill areas are scraped - guess good training for the Birkie. Only place that felt really sketchy was the right hand turn before the little loop back to the beginning. Limited lighting on a fast corner.

[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
As of Monday morning Wirth has just over 1km open. Trail is in great shape, with some dirt and tree debris throughout. I was on B skis but your good skis ought to be fine. Based on the growing snow piles and dropping temps, it looks like another half km or more could be opened soon. Tough to beat quality skiing in November.

Skied around noon, fairly light crowd out there. Some sections a little dirty, but nothing major -- used my good skis. A few corners and uphills were getting chewed up, but otherwise trail was in good shape and fast.

It was wonderful to have the extra distance to play out there today! Gobbled up my first helping of mashed potatoes for the day (see what I did there haha!) - by 9 am the uphills in particular were beginning to get a bit soft. That said the few dozen of us out here still enjoyed it thoroughly! I am thankful to the crew here at Wirth for making a great holiday ski possible! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
We opened 500 more meters of ski trail this evening. We now have Trail 18, and the east half of Ridgeline Trail open to Four Corners for a total of 1.25k. We will continue snowmaking this weekend as temps cool back down and soon after will be able to open the trail from Four Corners to Coaches Corner. Enjoy the holiday skiing!
