Sunset ski on the 3k blue cutoff. The trails were well groomed. The snow was very fast, and pretty custy from the sunshine melt and refreeze.

35° and full sun at 11 a. m., beautiful day for skiing. No glazed ice but felt slightly grainular at start. Pincushion Loop was good kick and long glides on gradual downhills. Both Snowman loops were good but snow felt softer by then, not sticky but better grip with waxless skis. Tracks themselves are well formed most places.

Exquisite skiing at Pincushion today. Groomer was out the same time as me and by the time I left had gotten corduroy on all the trails. Was softening up substantially by noon or so, but still lots of great skiing to be had. Slow with the new snow but any nights below freezing in the coming days will have fast morning skiing.

The winter storm has delivered less snow than forecast so far, about 4-5 inches of relatively wet snow. More light snow is forecast through the day and evening, but in the meantime, we've regroomed the skate decks and reset tracks on all green trails and Pincushion Loop. Bill reports that conditions are really nice. Current Trail Conditions/Notes: Packed Trail Base: Average 10+ inches, Snowfall last 24 Hours: 4-5", Snowfall last 7 Days: 10", Average Depth off the Trail: >24".
