The Upper Arb trails were rolled after the snow and are in lovely shape. Lots of snow; A skis! Didn't ski lower arb, but saw skiers in the lot so I assume they are good too.

It's not the birkie trail, but conditions are absolutely great here in Southern MN. We've received around 10" of snow this week. All trails in the Upper Arb have been rolled, groomed and a track has been set. Come enjoy the trails here in Northfield. The lower arb has been rolled and a track will be set tomorrow.

Great conditions in the Lower Arb! With the new snow, expect similar in Upper Arb, but only skied lower. Groomers rolled most trails, but some unrolled for those who like breaking trail.

This report is for the Lower Arb. Conditions for classic are the best they have been in a couple of years. There are a few thin spots in the expected places where the ice is showing through, but overall the recent small snowfalls have added up to a nice base. It looked to me like every loop had been groomed.

Upper Arb was groomed Sunday morning for Skating. Trails are in excellent condition after working in some fresh fluffy snow into packed base. Trail along Hwy 19 is still thin but skiable. Lower Arb was groomed and a track was set over about 80% of the system. Best snow conditions the lower has seen in quite awhile. Ran out of time to get the last couple of trails. Snow was starting again when I was finishing up.

Regroomed the upper Arb Monday night. Overall system is in very good conditions. There is one trail section on the Northside of the Arb that is very poor. There are also a couple of icy spots which will take a couple more passes with the teeth down to break up. We will try to get out again tomorrow night after the warm up and have the system ready for the weekend.

I skied the lower arb trail along the river this morning from the parking lot near campus to the iron bridge parking lot and back. Excellent snow throughout. The trail has been packed and has skier-made tracks; not professional but quite functional. The snow is beautiful.

Great coverage, but as is typical at Carlton, lots of foot traffic leaving a lot of footprints. A nice track set was visible, and the skate lane soft, but not slow. Quick feet to keep from sinking in and don't pole too hard. And at about 5:30pm, I had the whole place to myself.

The Carleton Upper Arb is groomed for skating and classical. All trail segments are open and in excellent shape. The trail set up great last night.
The lower Arboretum is still ungroomed. With the amount of snow we received(16") our equipment is maxed out. The plan will be to get the lower packed in the next day or so and then try to set a track for the weekend.
