Conditions: Trail conditions are fair. Has not been groomed recently. Snow is firm and dry.
Grass coming through on probably 30 to 35% of trail, windblown as well. Had marginal, but enjoyable skate this afternoon.

Conditions: Groomed and in decent shape for skate and classic. Exposed grass and twigs in several areas especially hilltops.
Skate skied this afternoon at Highland, lots of skiers out! Groomed trails have taken a toll as a result and just need a bit more snow to cover those remaining grassy areas. Overall good skiing all things considered.

Conditions: Improved with the new snow, but windblown, slow.
Much better than last week with the grass only occasionally showing through. The tracks were about 40% blown over which resulted in very slow classic skiing. The skate deck looked very soft.

Groomed and in good condition (both skate deck and classic track) except for exposed areas on hill tops, which are wind-swept and slightly barren of snow and/or icy.

Conditions: Ok if you're willing to improvise.
Some decent stretches but a lot of grass - skiing off the groomed trail was fine for those areas a bit too green. No good classic track but a lot of skier-made options.

Conditions: Poor - classic tracks mostly grass, skate deck OK - rock skis.
Kudos for the groomers for working with the minimal snow, but by afternoon, the classic tracks were mostly grass. Bailed after 200 meters. The skate deck looked a bit better, but still considerable grass coming through.

Groomed. Soft and slow skate deck with some grass showing through but all skiable. Decent classic track with a little grass as well.

Conditions: Poor. Icy and rutted with lots of grass and dirt showing through.
The Highland course appears to have been groomed after the last snowfall, but moderate use plus the thaw have taken their toll. The trail is skiable in most places, but icy, and badly rutted with lord of bare spots. Rock ski conditions. The skiing is much better off the groomed track. After about half a lap, I began skiing beside the groomed trail, which was much more pleasant.
