Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated at Highland around 10am. Skate deck was soft, but starting to get skied in. Seemed like it had been groomed since the midweek snow, but not since then. Surprisingly fast given how soft it was. All together a pleasant morning. Classic track was skied in, with a fair number of folks skiing classic out today.

Very nice skiing for classic and freestyle. Tracks mostly intact except around corners. Hardly anyone there. Pleasant gently rolling hills. Seemed longer than 3.5 k.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The full loop is groomed for classic and skate. The classic tracks looked good, and the skate lane is extremely soft from our abundance of February snow. Strong leg and arm pushes sink deep in most areas. Lots of skiers were out enjoying beautiful evening, and it should firm up nicely after the next grooming.

Highland has not been groomed as of yet though there are some fairly well established skied in classic trails. There is a lot of snow out there, didn't realize how much until getting out there. It was slow and very soft but still fun to be out.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated a few loops this afternoon around 3:00 pm at Highland. Skate deck was hard but not icy, with a few developing ridges and boot tracks. Coverage was good with no bare spots. With a fresh grooming it will be great. Classic track looked like it was fully covered, but was getting washed out around corners and on the uphills.

Fantastic conditions and lots of people out enjoying the skiing. Classic track looked to be in great condition as well. It must have been re-groomed after the wind on Thursday as it had been very drifted over on Thursday night. Thanks groomers!

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Classic skied in the evening. The trail is still quite soft and slow with all of the new snow, particularly the classic track. It was washed out around any slight turn and on the steeper uphills. I'd think it'll firm up with a few more grooms and the colder weather coming on Thursday night. Definitely full coverage, no windblown areas, and good skis recommended. The occasional pole plant went down to the hard ice layer below the soft snow.

Highland was groomed at 2:00 pm. As expected a little soft and getting more wind blown. There were a lot of striders out and they appeared to be getting some decent glide. Thank you King Boreas!

I classic skied around 8:30AM on Tuesday. Much new snow had fallen, and the trails had not yet been rolled or groomed. Skied-in tracks were getting some use and worked well for me. Lots of snow and good coverage, but I still noted B skis, since I don't know how it looks under the new snow.

Luxurious skiing on skate deck this evening after sunset. Nice glide, great to be skiing close to home. Thanks Tyler!
