Grooming
Conditions: Fair to good, B skis recommended.
All trails were groomed today, with most trails in very good condition. Some thin spots under the pines and at corners were groomer took sharp turns. Trails were setting up well as the temps were dropping. No classic tracks set need more snow for those.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Bare ground ]
4-5 inches of snow was being groomed when we arrived at 2 PM. Groomer dug up some grit in spots. Decent coverage but rock skis recommended unless you know where the rocks are hidden.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Bare ground ]
Conditions: Paper thin base. Starting to ice up. Leave your good skis at home.
We are still skiing, but conditions are getting sketchy. The base is very thin and patches of grass and dirt are appearing. Stick to the flats, avoid the hills.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Better than expected. Quite skiable.
Snow cover is very thin. A careful skier might be able to bring race skis but I'm not that careful. Trails are rough but the coverage is good. The lights are on. Tower Ridge is open to muzzleloaders but as a practical matter you probably won't see any hunters during the day.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Bare ground ]
Conditions: Ok to good. The main flat areas have been rolled and have a few inches of fresh snow on that. If it was groomed and then set up it would be better.
Skating was pretty good for such a small amount of snow. I don't recommend the hills. They have not been groomed. I saw three hunters so use your orange coat or vest. It was worth the trip.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Bare ground ]
Conditions: Lots of fresh snow. Okay for skating and classic rock skis recommended.
Did some skiing Friday night most of the lights were out. The trail was really nice, however you could tell hunters and a lot of dogs had been out on the trail. It could be really good with lower temps and another pass from the groomer. Hopefully, all the lights will be on soon.

Grooming
[ Bare ground ]
Conditions: Rock skis only.
Trails have been rolled. The snow cover is thin. Tower Ridge is open to deer hunting during the day. There are multiple parking lots so do not assume no hunting activity if the lot is empty.

Grooming
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Has been rolled. Good but not complete coverage.
Trails have a fair amount of snow and attempts to compact it have begun. Still soft in spots. A careful skier could bring good skis but the hills could use another good snowfall to cover up bare spots. Tower Ridge is open for deer hunting during the day but has lighted trails for evening use.

Sunday, November 16, 2014
Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ B skis ]
Conditions: Not groomed, but ski-able.
The trails at Tower Ridge aren't groomed yet, but there are some nice skier-made tracks out there! The trails are beautiful, and it is possible to get some skate skiing and some double poling in.
