2018-2019 season
Reports 11 to 20 of 46    Month: Apr | Mar | Feb | Jan | Dec

Morning
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
The groomer made a few passes this morning and freshened up the skating deck on some of the trails, but not all. The rest of the trails were groomed yesterday. Skating ranges from firm, fresh corduroy to well-skied-in. Classic tracks are hit or miss: Some of the grooming this morning obliterated the tracks that were set yesterday, but some new tracks were set, including down to the I Loop. Less than half of the trails have tracks set.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle Observation
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Another 4" of powder last night. As of 7:30 this morning the groomer had made a pass or two on many of the trails. The resulting skating deck was firm, with occasional stretches of soft pole plant areas, so very good to excellent conditions. No tracks set. No hilly trails groomed yet. I expect the groomer to be working most of the morning.

Morning
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All the trails are groomed. Tracks have been set almost all the trails. No tracks set on any hills or hilly loops (Big Falls loop). Both the tracks and skating deck provide excellent skiing.

Morning
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
As of 11:00 this morning all the trails have been groomed. About 20% of the trails have tracks set, but the groomer was setting more as I left. The skating is firm, even and smooth. The tracks are 99% firm with occasional stretches where the outside ski track collapses under the kick.

[ Trails Open: Partial, Good skis ]
The groomer made a few passes on about 20% of the trails. The rest are ungroomed. No tracks set. The skating is medium soft, sinking in only an inch or two.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Fresh grooming today but not on all the trails. The skating deck is a bit uneven and it seems the groomer must have been dragging something as there are shallow longitudinal ruts in the middle of the deck. The edges of the deck are most often a bit soft. Excellent, firm tracks were set, but only on about 25% of the trails have tracks. No tracks on any hills.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Not all of the trails have been groomed. The hills have not been groomed. No tracks have been set. The skating deck ranges from medium firm to soft and varies a lot across the trail: the center is the firmest with the edges being soft and poles going way in.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
A morning of racing helped compact the skating deck, but the firmness still varies across the deck from soft on the edges to a firm and sometimes a bit humped in the middle. The lower trails are especially humped and soft. Tracks have been set on most of the trails, but not on any hills.
