Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails got groomed this morning after the 3.5" of snow last night, and are in excellent albeit a little soft condition. With the continued high wind through the day the open portions of the trail by the Little Turtle and the Treatment plant continue to drift closed so try to stay in the woods. We will go out to straighten everything as conditions allow. Winter finally got here, now we just have to control her.

Groomed and tracked the trail Friday morning after the snow stopped. Conditions are excellent out there for both classical and skating. With the snow hanging on the trees its a winter wonderland. And good luck to all the Birkie skiers. Come ski MECCA tomorrow for a nice leisurely end to your weekend.

Skate deck was firm and fast. The groomer did a very good job breaking up the surface crust and laying down fresh cord. Enjoy!

We had a very successful candlelight last night, and thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the evening. We cleaned up everything this morning along with the trail, so come out and enjoy some great skiing. All trails groomed and tracked and should be quite firm on Monday.

Great conditions on all the skating trails at Mecca (freshly groomed this morning). The classic tracks also looked like they were well groomed. These trails are beautiful, running mostly through the forest and but also along a nature preserve. The warming house had a cozy wood burning stove and sold homemade cookies that supports the local association. Thanks to Gary and all the other volunteers!

It was a groomers sunrise this morning. All the trails have been groomed in anticipation of the heat wave coming over the next few days. Trail is in excellent condition and should stay that way with the freezing temps at night. Get out an enjoy the outdoors, it don't get no better.
