Excellent. Skate and classic. 12" Recent new snow. Due to forecat warm temps Friday afternoon we will close the ski trails at 1 pm. Trails will open again at 9 am Saturday morning and will stay open all day Saturday. Perfect skate lanes. Full depth perfect classic tracks. Late season conditions. Trails have been groomed 29 times this season. Fat bike trails groomed 4 times since the 12" new snow . Fat bike event here Sunday Jan 28th. Simple event! Show up at 2 pm. Ride the trails for free with other fat bike fanatics. Bring your own bike (Byob). Warming room, rest room and firepit open.

Amazing! 10-12" new snow. Wind blown,non packing snow. Groomer went out at least 12 hours and result was magic! Very solid deck with soft velour surface. With the cold temps tonight of near 0F, everything should firm up and be superb for skate and classic. This place sets a very high standard for grooming excellence.

Pete Moline has the trails at Afterglow in excellent condition. I skate skied Saturday and Sunday. The trail were flat, firm and fast with good solid pole plants on all the runs. Pete was out working in the new 10 inches when we left Tuesday morning. Thanks Pete.

The trails were excellent! The classic track was meticulously groomed, conditions were perfect. The lodge is pleasant and comfy, the owners very nice.

Excellent. High temp at Afterglow Jan 20 was 37F and cloudy and very little transition of snow. All classic track was reset Saturday night and is in excellent condition. All skate lanes groomed the last 7 nights in a row. Deep set classic tracks exist. Smooth, level, even and firm skate lanes. Mid season conditions. Trails have been groomed 23 times this season. Fat Bike Trails in excellent condition. Fat Bike event here Sunday Jan 28th. Simple event! Show up at 2PM. Ride the trails for free with other Fat Bike Fanatics. Bring your own bike. BYOB. Afterglow trails are in excellent shape. Full coverage, plenty of deep snow, and a beautiful trail system. The trails have great rolling sections (I particularly liked trail 9), and the 4 and 7-8 loops provide the "elevator shaft" experience. The system is not huge, but there was plenty of trail to keep me happy for a few full days of skiing. The Phelps Loop is classic-only; the rest of the system is groomed for both skate and classic.

Perfect conditions at Afterglow. Yesterday's snowfall groomed to perfection. Was a fabulous day to be alive and on a pair of skis. Could not ask for more. On a scale of 10 the trails for skate and classic were an 11!

Perfect day of skiing. Pete groomed for three hours this morning but at least an inch of snow fell as the day progressed. Plenty of snow here, great grooming, could not ask for more. No debris, solid deck and deep set tracks for classic.

Excellent 2" new snow. All skate lanes groomed Monday morning. About half the classic track was reset. Deep set classic exist. Smooth, level, even and firm skate lanes. Mid season conditions. Trails have been groomed 19 times this season. Fat Bike Trails groomed also.
Grooming plans: All skate lanes and all classic tracks will be reset and groomed Tuesday morning.

Pete regroomed the skate deck Saturday evening and it was just about perfect. The classic tracks are solid and set with the cold weather. As always Afterglow is a winter paradise. I also biked all the fat bike trails and they are well set and a blast to ride.
