Mukwonago received 2 inches of fresh snow over the weekend. The trail groomed up beautiful, and with the cold temps last night should have set up nice! Beat the hustle and come enjoy this beautiful trail!

Grooming

Mukwonago received very little snow over this past week. Trails were groomed and new tracks were set. Overall trail is very good! Some of the new tracks are a bit shallow and there is a fair amount of cones and debris in the pine sections from the past weeks windy weather. Still, well worth the short drive to check out this trail.

Classic skied the outer loop at Mukwonago today. The trail was well groomed, good deep tracks all the way around. The Mukwonago trail is particularly well designed for classic skiing as a good intermediate skier can stay in the tracks almost all the time, on the up hills or down. Great place to ski.

First time skiing this trail, a nice old school type trail. Grooming was average at best, but to be fair it look like quite a bit of damage and trail recovery is happening from the heavy snow from a few weeks ago. Our first trip here, it certainly won't be the last. The long loop is not tracked/dragged, apparently due to several large trees across the trail prohibiting groomers to get in.

I skate skied here for a few hours. Some wind had come through so there was some debris on the trails but the base was fantastic and overall it was some of the best skiing I've done in the last few years. Thanks groomers!

The 2.3 Km, 4.4 Km, and 7.5 Km loops were groomed and tracks reset today. The skate lane is very solid, and the tracks are shallow in places, but are solid with the cold temps. Expect to see some sticks, leaves, and pine needles on the snow surface. The 13.6 Km loop is currently not being groomed due to brush hanging over the trail and a couple of trees down. The Forest Service will be working on getting that loop open in the near future.
