Notes

Small park near the end of the Gateway Trail. There is beautiful scenery with trails winding through pine forest, and near small lakes and picturesque farms. The course is quiet, sheltered, and has a lot of fun roling hills. Most of the terrain is intermediate in difficulty.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The groomer just finished up on all of the trails. The Multi-Use has been repacked and all the ski trails have fresh track laid! There is minimal debris throughout the trails but overall everything is in really good shape. The skate deck was also freshly rolled.

2:15 pm. Just got done skate skiing both sides of the Gateway Trail. It was a great ski. South side is getting a bit compacted, and someone rode a bike down the skate trail. North side is in better shape with a bike track in only one section. I don't think the north side is as compacted. I skied the north side twice since it was in better shape. The classic tracks were in great shape.

Perfect classic track, best I've seen there in years. As other have commented they have a penchent for not setting tracks on the uphills. Otherwise a perfect afternoon stride with very little debris.

Nothing as likely to get me out the door as the promise of classic skiing on Guru green. No disappointment. Track was firm, clean, kick and release buttery soft. Skate deck looked really good as well. Best conditions I've ever skied out there!

Fantastic skate skiing around noon! The classic tracks looked great as well. I skied north and south of the Gateway Trail. Both sides in great shape. Very little debris. I was the second or third skier on the groomed trails. Thanks groomers! Nice job!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The powerline that was down on the trail has been removed and the ski trails have great coverage and were packed and tracked this morning. Multi-Use trails were also packed today. There is minor debris in some sections but overall good conditions!

[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
Skate skied in 2-3 inches of fresh snow over a firm base that was packed but not tracked on Wednesday. Despite what was reported the multi-use trails had not been packed on Wednesday. They were still covered in a foot of fresh snow (snow shoed them yesterday). Lots of foot traffic but I can't call them out because the trails had not been rolled by 1pm. Enjoyable skate, plenty fast, but getting slower as I encountered more foot traffic. Several trees/branched down across trail. Removed what I could budge.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Multi-Use and Ski Trails have been packed/rolled this morning. There is a powerline down across the trail on the North side of the Gateway. Xcel and the Parks are working to fix this but this section has been temporarily coned off. Overall, everything else is in fair condition.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Horses and people walking continue to chop up the main ski trails. Therefore, they are in rough shape due to tracks, debris and ice. Use your B skis, overall fair/poor conditions except for open fields which are very nice.
