Skied most of the system this morning. Beautiful skiing on the North Shore. Bit slow and soft, but still plenty of base material. Trail is starting to get a little messy: mostly leaf and pine litter that's pretty easily avoidable. Groomers were out in the last couple days. With a freeze overnight it'll be in great shape, but will be slow going until that happens.

Skied Hogback loop this morning and found it in good shape. Thanks to the groomers for getting out yesterday to make my trip down from Canada worthwhile the past 3 days. I used Klister after the rain Thursday (Homestead), stuck with the groomed section at Onion River Friday and used Klister again today (Universal with blue base) to get super grip on all three days despite the challenging conditions. Track has hardened up nicely, with fast conditions slowed slightly by light dusting of fresh powder. Can't wait to come back next year!

Skied Onion River loop late Friday, finishing using headlamp. Fun to get out after all the rains this week. Groomers did a great job so the track was fair to good. Tree debris but not enough to really slow me down. Temp about 30. Skied up the hill to end of road and trail was consistent all the way. Very skiable.

A joy to ski the beautiful Sugarbush late morning/early afternoon today, especially with the forecast. The parking lot was nearly full. There had been recent grooming (earlier today) that left those trails with a softer skate deck and tracks. Not all trails were re-groomed. so the skate deck and tracks were firm. I used waxless Atomics which worked perfect.

From Britain Peak trailhead skied to and around Picnic loop, Oberg loop, the connector to and around Homestead and Hogback loops. All but the Picnic loop had immaculate grooming with solid tracks. Picnic loop is still skier tracked and still has significant drifting in spots but was enjoyable. Used Fischer Crowns to deal with the variable snow conditions and they worked perfectly. Others I met were complaining about the stickiness of the snow and my pole baskets constantly iced up but would free up with a tree smack. Bluebird skies for most of the day with temps hovering around freezing. Great last ski before the rain comes and does who knows what the snow.

From Britain Peak trailhead, classic skied up Hogback, around the Picnic loop and back on the connector. Grooming was completed on the Britain Peak loops and Hogback. Picnic loop was skier tracked and the connector and bridge loop had once pass to set the classic track but the skate lane was half packed, forcing the few skaters to ski over the classic track But they did not really break down too much. My Swix VR45 kick wax was icing in the skier tracked Picnic loop but worked fine on the groomed track that was slicker. I think I will try waxless skis tomorrow, as the forecast is for slightly warmer temps. A beautiful sunny day today with temps just below freezing.

Great ski on the Picnic loop. Main trails had just been groomed and the Picnic loop looked like it was tracked over the weekend. All trails were in great shape and conditions were just about perfect.

Skied the summit-view trail from the Britton Peak TH Sunday morning. Temps were cold! Around 1" of dusting and cold temps made for a slow-er skate. Scenery was beautiful though! (at least what I could see through my frozen eyelashses, haha).

Great ski around Moose Fence loops, across the connector to the Picnic Ridge trail, down to Britain Peak and then the ski down to Tofte. Light new snow covering the Moose fence and connector which made the kick really good with VR30. From Picnic loop on the grooming was new and the track was fast but too slick to stay in on several uphills. But a great ski overall and great scenery on a sunny cold day.

Did a quick skate around Homestead and Hogback from Britain Peak. Deck was firm, temps were moderate and a slight dusting of new snow made for good glide. Glad to get a good skate ski in before the temperature plummeted.
