2015-2016 season
Reports 26 to 35 of 67    Month: Mar | Feb | Jan | Dec | Nov

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Very good for skate. Groomed a day ago. Hard base trail center were hard polished v's, edges were corrugated.
Skated 11am to 1pm Greens and Purples 30K. Cold but fast conditions with very little debris. I used race skies. Ski bases showed slight powder from abrasive cold snow but no dings. Hard deck with just enough control for downhills. Uphills had polished center ridge that made climbing easier!

Conditions: Excellent and very well groomed for skate.
Skied classic purple loop and struggled through the windswept drifts. Still beat a day at the office!

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Fresh groomed 2-3inches of snow over solid base = excellent.
Skied Green Loop in 2-3 inches of fresh snow at 12F. Just a dozen cars in lower lot (not like Saturday!). Started Purple and along came Groomer Terry (Stella riding shotgun) pressing in new tracks and combing skate lane. Perfect! Finished another Green and Purple on fresh corduroy. Fire in the warming hut after. Couldn't ask for more!

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Very nice skate conditions this morning. Softening up in the sunny areas as the morning went along.
Lots of people enjoying the outdoors at Greenbush; skiers, bikers, snowshoers and hikers. What a terrific outdoor asset!

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: The trails were in good condition with a firm deck and no thin spots.
The parking lot was full when I arrived at 9:30 this morning; I guess everyone wanted to ski Greenbush today. The trails were in good condition with a firm deck and no thin spots. There was a fair amount of tree debris (leaves, small twigs, needles) but nothing too concerning. The tracks looked like they were in good condition.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle Lost/Found
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Excellent. Fresh grooming, great classic track. Fast track.
Skied the purple classic trail at 10:00 AM. I have rated my experience each time I skied over the last 10 years and I finally hit a 10. I've had 8's before but no higher. Fresh trail, new snow, fast snow, snow clad trees, brilliant sun and heavenly blue sky all combined with 22 degrees and minimal wind.
Note: I found a white IPhone in the parking lot. It appears to be in good condition but can't get info from it because of the lock code. Please ask around if someone lost a phone out there.

Morning

Conditions: Excellent classic and skate on all trails!
After 2-3 wet inches of snow and warm temps on Tuesday and Wednesday, a freeze on Wednesday night allowed grooming on Thursday morning.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good with fresh but sticky snow.
Skied classic purple loop with beautiful layer of fresh snow at 2pm and 31 degrees. Trail was not groomed yet so it was a slow sticky ski. Once groomed, the conditions should be great as there's plenty of snow to work with.
