Trail Reports

2017-2018 season

[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
The very beginning makes you think coming out was a bad idea, as it's a large ice/puddle mass. But once you get past that, the skiing is fair. The deck is not firm, and I found my poles kept slipping when I'd try to rely on them up hills. However, there were patches of perfect corduroy too! It was not the type of ski that made me wish I didn't come; instead I was happy I went. There was debris in many places, but I didn't get hung up on anything. I skied blue which had a massive puddle near Stute Springs and wasn't packed down beyond that, so it was fluffy going for a mile or two. The end also had a bunch of ice spots to scoot around. I went back for a green and backwards on white and those were fair too. I saw the finished shelter for the first time and it is fantastic! I can't wait for a winter where it can get full use!

Thin skate deck. No classic tracks. Skied green loop. Thanks to groomer for doing best possible job with 3" of snow.
