Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Rock skis ]
Warm temps over the weekend, and rain on Monday set back ski trails. Snow late Monday to early Tuesday allowed some material to work with. One pass was made thru the trail system to pack and track. Warm weather this coming weekend will likely bring bare ground. You can ski the trails, just don't bring your best skis and know that conditions are less than ideal.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Volunteer groomer returned in at 3 pm this afternoon. Started to warm up and get sticky. Trails around Pike's Peak Flowage (Red and Yellow) are packed and tracked. All other trails are just packed due to snow depth and weather conditions. Snowshoe trails and sledding hill are also packed. This should make a great base. Planning to track all trails next grooming.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Trails were in fair to poor condition. I had not been here before and the prior reports sounded ok. After skiing Reforestation yesterday, I sure regretted coming here instead today. While the trails appear to have full coverage, I kept getting stuck on dirt where the snow layer was thin, and it often wasn't apparent where these spots were. Constant lurching forward, and I fell forward no less than 10 times. I would not recommend coming here until there is more snow, especially given the awesome conditions at Reforestation. There were also several spots on the ski trails that had been snowshoed on, and where a sled was pulled.
