Always a pleasure at Larson Lake. Skate deck is firm, but it's been a few days since it's been groomed. There is about an inch of fluff on top of a well packed skate lane.

Four inches of new snow on Tuesday. Groomed all trail segments today. All inside classic trails have tracks set. All skating lanes were given two complete passes with 84 inch groomer and third pass was to set track on the right. As mentioned earlier today...Excellent Conditions.

All the trails are now tracked and groomed. Stunning! A luscious day to ski. Conditions were perfect, not warm enough to cause icy tracks tonight, all fresh snow. I skied the Dr. Baxter (classic only) loop on the upper hills area, and then the inner loop (also classic only) on the lower region as well. Beautiful! Thank you, Bryan.

8 inches of fluffy snow on Thursday. All skating lanes were packed with heavy steel roller (2-3 passes) and groomed (two passes) and third pass was to set the track on the right. Tracks set on the lower-half inside classic segments, but not packed. Did not groom the upper inside classic segments (next time?). Hope the cold night firms up the trails.

Inner classic tracks, which weren't re-groomed on Friday, were mainly good to excellent. There were a couple of sections in the open where the track was nearly filled in due to drifting from earlier in the week, but it could be skied. In another area a bit west of the inner shelter, deer had dug down to oak leaves while bedding down for the night. Wind had scattered the leaves fairly thickly across the track which could (literally) make for a sticky situation!

I groomed all skating lanes and set track on the upper interior classic trails (did not do that area on Monday). Also, reset the track on the outer loop. Lower inside classic tracks were in good condition from the grooming on Monday.

Four inches of new snow fell on Sunday night. Groomed all skating lanes and set tracks on most of the classic areas. With the windy forecast, I may groom the skate lanes again on Friday and smooth over any drifting.

Three inches of light and fluffy snow last night. Groomed all trails and set tracks. Snow was very light and the near 0 low tonight should help firm up the skating lanes.
