Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
8 inches of fluffy snow on Thursday. All skating lanes were packed with heavy steel roller (2-3 passes) and groomed (two passes) and third pass was to set the track on the right. Tracks set on the lower-half inside classic segments, but not packed. Did not groom the upper inside classic segments (next time?). Hope the cold night firms up the trails.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Inner classic tracks, which weren't re-groomed on Friday, were mainly good to excellent. There were a couple of sections in the open where the track was nearly filled in due to drifting from earlier in the week, but it could be skied. In another area a bit west of the inner shelter, deer had dug down to oak leaves while bedding down for the night. Wind had scattered the leaves fairly thickly across the track which could (literally) make for a sticky situation!

Grooming

I groomed all skating lanes and set track on the upper interior classic trails (did not do that area on Monday). Also, reset the track on the outer loop. Lower inside classic tracks were in good condition from the grooming on Monday.

Grooming

Four inches of new snow fell on Sunday night. Groomed all skating lanes and set tracks on most of the classic areas. With the windy forecast, I may groom the skate lanes again on Friday and smooth over any drifting.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Three inches of light and fluffy snow last night. Groomed all trails and set tracks. Snow was very light and the near 0 low tonight should help firm up the skating lanes.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Groomed all skating lanes today. Lowered the rakers to break up the firm and somewhat icy conditions. Made two passes on the skating lanes. Course powder for skating. Tracks are in good shape still and I did not reset the tracks.

My husband and I classic skied most trail segments today. Found the tracks to be in great condition---firm and our "black magic" wax performed well. The skating deck was firm and just enough edge could be grabbed by the ski. Very good conditions and not that much debris on the trails too cause much of a problem.

Freezing rain Sunday night coated everything in ice. Groomed all trail segments today and lowered the rakers on every pass to break up the icy conditions. Did two passes on the skating lanes and reset all tracks. All segments groomed with tracks in fair to good shape.

Beautiful classic ski today. Tracks in great shape, just a few leaves. Was worried when had lots of walking tracks right down the trail from the parking lot, but they ended when got to the gate. Thanks Bryan for excellent grooming!
