Trails were perfect--grooming was great! Our group was skate skiing and classic skiing and we all had a great time. Also saw a porcupine in a tree, so don't forget to look up while you travel around the loop. Get out there if you can!

Grooming

Five inches of new snow. The few drifts have been beat down with sled and roller. Pulled the ginzu groomer after some packing and groomed skate lanes and set classic track on all trails.

2.5 inches of morning snow. Groomed all trail segments. Skate lanes done and new classic track set. Track not perfect due to hard base under the light snow.

We had very low expectations after the rollercoaster of weather we have had, but we were pleasantly surprised that the tracks were very skiable. Yes, some sections were a bit shallow and icy, but others were still in good condition. Kudos to the groomers for keeping this place in such good shape. Thank you!

1/2 inch of rain on Tuesday followed with 0.3 inches of snow. Made three passes on skate lanes. Tracks are skiable and better now then if I redo them.

Trails icy in spots. Pine needles, tree branches and oak leaves on trail in wooded spots, but still very enjoyable to ski. Enough snow for our tastes.

A perfect ski at Larson Lake. An inch of new snow sparkled on the well groomed trails, making it a winter ski wonderland.

Nicely groomed classic and skate. Loved the terrain variety! Beautiful surroundings. Even though the high temperature was only 5F we never felt cold due to the protection from the woods. Great place for the intermediate skier!

All trails were re-groomed and tracked today. It was nice to ski the ups and downs of the 7 to 9 segment for the first time this season. By late afternoon there were some leaves in the tracks, and some wind-blown washouts of the tracks. Most of the wind damage was confined to the inner trails (especially around the pond). The far outer loop was still in very good shape, and I suspect the woods will continue to protect those parts of the trails. All in all, it was a great afternoon to be out on well-groomed trails.
