Absolutely amazing ski on the Central Gunflit Ski Trails. We skied the Ox Cart trail, Beaver Dam Trail, Summer Home Trail and the Old Logging Camp Trails from and back to Bearskin Lodge. The groomer met us at the intersection of Summer Home and Old Logging Camp trails and laid fresh tracks for us into the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Ski trails were awesome!

Trails are freshly groomed again this morning. Evidence of the rain from last week is virtually gone as we have received 8 inches of snow since. Trails are in great shape, deck is firm, and the classic track set well again. Should be a great week of great skiing.

Unexpectedly beautiful and very skiable. The rains of Tuesday night into Wednesday changed into 4+ inches of snow overnight in the Bearskin area of the Central Gunflint XC Ski Trails and had been well groomed-in by the time I put skis down on the classic tracks early Thursday afternoon. The tracks were firm and with skin skis, at 10 degrees, I had a good grip and glide. The trails weren't bone-jaring icy; they were firm and fast with enough snow to get a good grip, in the tracks and out. The skate desk was in excellent shape.

Trails were all groomed again Friday and Saturday. Excellent conditions: level trails, perfect skate deck, solid classic tracks. Outdoor temperatures will be a bit cooler than we've seen most of this winter, but the sun is supposed to be shining! Throw on an extra layer and enjoy these prime mid-winter conditions!

Lovely skiing on the Bearskin trails this week. Temps around 20 and fresh snow this morning. Some of the trails were groomed this morning, grooming in progress. Lots of snow in the trees.

Near perfect trail conditions right now. With temps holding in the upper teens and 20's through the week, expect fast conditions and great glide. We went for a ski Sunday night and the skate deck was excellent, holding firm while still allowing for a good ski bite. The classic track is deep and solidly set. The debris from last week is also gone, buried under the 4 inches of newly groomed in snow that had since fallen. While Poplar Creek Trail remains temporarily closed, everything else is open! We can't say enough great things about how happy we are with the ski conditions right now! All trails were groomed fresh January 1st.
