Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I groomed about 5+km of trails this morning (had to quit when it got too warm for good results). We did not get any new snow yet but it groomed out well (with double the usual passes). It looks like it will be very good skiing on those trails (our 4 "easy" loops plus Corker) today. I'll groom everything else Thursday morning.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Good day for blue klister skiing; kind of icy and rough but skiable. There are no bare spots and the lack of skiers on it recently has helped keep the snow coverage good. I am planning on grooming early Wednesday morning. All 18km of trails are open.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I skied for almost 3 hours; the snow was wet and slow but there is still plenty of it on the trails. A good workout, kind of like running in soft sand. The marsh crossing on Gaiter was wet with some water on top of the ice but was safe enough to cross. The trails just need some colder temps to firm things up, then should be good again.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I skied the trails Wednesday morning before the temps got too high; conditions were excellent for both skate and classic ("skins" skis). I groomed the skate lanes early this morning; it should be some excellent skiing until maybe noon or so, then too warm?

Firsthand: Classic Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I just skied CFS and some of the Rib Lake Trails and had a great ski time! Sure, there was an inch of new, wet snow in the tracks and it was too warm (+2 C) but the RC Skins skis gave very good grip and the glide was really not too bad. I plan to groom the CFS trails tonight or early Wednesday morning since it looks like Wednesday morning will be our window of good skiing conditions for the week.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails were freshly groomed with fresh courderoy to ski on. First time visitor to these trails and thoroughly enjoyed the trails and beauty of the terrain. Easy to follow signage/maps of any place and you have to try the 'roller coaster' trail and expect some air on the second hill if you don't slow your speed down.

All loops open and excellent conditions. I regroomed skate lanes this morning; they were still soft but will firm up more with time. Classic tracks are fine.

Morning
Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
I will be holding off on trail grooming until tonight (after the snow stops) and then probably again on early Thursday morning. Conditions were already very good to excellent but this new snowfall should make it even better. 18 km trails, skate and classic, connecting to the 30 km Rib Lake trail system.

Afternoon
Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
I groomed over the skate lanes since we got 1" of new snow; excellent conditions. Did not set new classic tracks; they are fine "as is", needing only to be skied in once or twice. The cattail marsh crossing on the Gaiter Trail is okay and safe to cross now. Klister trail still needs more snow before grooming and calling it "open". Rib Lake ski trails (connected to Forest Springs trails) were groomed today and look great! Note: We will be hosting a snowshoe race on Saturday morning so trails will be closed to skiers until afternoon.
