Trout Lake 6" new track set yesterday and Doan Lake today. Trails in good condition. The snow was sparkling.

The temps were subzero but the ski was very enjoyable. The track is fast but controllable. Some leaves do hang up the skis at times but the trail is holding up well with the groomers leaving an inch or so of soft snow outside the track.

Tracks set firm. Good skiing with temps barely above zero. Sun was shining and there was no wind. Favorite point along the trail is the bridge over Trout Creek.

Trail was in fine shape and nicely groomed especially considering how much snow there was to work with. Solid track throughout except for a few spots where Jim lifted the track setter where snow was a little thin. No bare spots, a few small places where leaves and a little dirt was turned up. 95% of the trail was very good to excellent.
