2016-2017 season

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed, Bare ground ]
Conditions: Icy 1-4" compacted base. TRAILS CLOSED!
The forecasted snow didn't happen for us, instead freezing rain that has made the trails icy and the parking lot near impassable. Although we found some fun sections of trail skiing today, the TRAILS ARE CLOSED (including fat biking) until the next snowfall or until further notice. It won't take much to get going again with the solid crusty base. Happy Thanksgiving!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Bare ground ]
Conditions: Fair to good early season/rock skiing conditions. Areas of thin cover, crusty sections.
Good to see skiers out this weekend enjoying the early season skiing. We packed more new trail today but recommend skiing on Sukkerbusk, JibFly, the east side of Skaters Waltz and Suicide Hill. Continuous sub freezing weather setting up ice on ponds, sloughs and some of the smaller lakes. Trails are open for day skiing. No lodging or services available in the lodge.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, Bare ground ]
Our family did an afternoon ski on Sunday. Limited trails open due to early season limited snow. Skied Jibfly and Sukkerbusk and they were in good condition. Had a great afternoon of skiing. Thanks to Jay and Jonell for another great family afternoon. Hope to see some more snow soon.

A beautiful day on the trails! We groomed new trail this morning which skied very nice later morning, some sections which were excellent. Trails groomed yesterday set up hard overnight and were fast, a few crusty spots. Trails are open, no services available in lodge. Park and just ski!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Bare ground ]
Conditions: Fair to good early season/rock skiing conditions. 7km groomed/open. Packed powder/glazed surface, areas of thin cover.
We focused on 8km of trail today, 7 which groomed up good considering the conditions. A ski at dusk found the surface glazing, fast and fun considering the conditions. Should freeze down nicely tonight and be some nice skiing this weekend with caution.

Grooming
[ Trails: Closed, Bare ground ]
Conditions: 4-5" New snow on top of unfrozen ground. Areas of wet packed/combed, areas of slush exposed ground etc. Packing/grooming select trails. Trails closed until further notice.
We woke up to beautiful winter wonderland conditions with 4-5" of snow as of 6am. With the ground not being frozen, the snow melted off on the non grassy areas. The grassy sections of trails including Suicide Hill the snow accumulated nicely and has good coverage. We started packing and grooming and found difficult conditions. Focusing on 4-5km to try and have open once it freezes down. We hope to have the trails open for early season skiing Sunday, possibly Saturday afternoon. Report later.
