Pioneer Creek Trails run through the scenic Vilas County Forest. Trail location is in the Conover Town Park, 1/4 mile east of U.S. 45 on the south side of County Hwy K. Amenities include a heated restroom.

Classic track in good shape, albeit a bit icy in spots making for a few faster downhills. Skate deck was average, heavily trafficked with hikers and paw prints.

Great conditions! Very good grooming. Classic track was firm and level, as was skate deck. Very little debris that hinders glide. Lots of needles, but they did not grab the ski.

All trails have been groomed and a track set. Overall very good conditions to report. Expect plenty of tree debris until we get more snow.

I spent the morning packing removing as much debris as I could. Grooming plans: I'll be out tomorrow morning grooming and setting a track. The only negative is all the tree debris on most of the system.

All of Pioneer Creek has been rolled. Plenty of low hanging trees and branches to deal with at this time. Planning to groom on Wednesday morning.
