All trails are currently closed. The rain and warm temps did a fair amount of damage to the trail. We think most spots will be repairable, but we will need more consistent below freezing temps to be able to do the work.

Weather update: due to forecasted rain the 24th-26th, we are not planning on grooming Sunday and Monday nights so we can minimize damage to the snow. The trail will remain open to skiers. Be aware of variable conditions if you do come ski. We look forward to being back at it as soon as possible!

Fun skate skiing this morning with all the folks enjoying the trails - from first time beginners to fast collegiate racers. Trails are holding up, but getting dirty. Faster conditions today than yesterday - not sure why - very enjoyable despite being 40 degrees and foggy!

Skated Wirth from 6-8 am today. It was quite early but by 8:00 it was getting crowded with the arrival of a few teams. Skiing was good, but there is enough dirty snow, especially on the new extensions, that I won't use my best skis there again. The extension past Coaches Corner wasn't lit today; that made for a tough U-turn in the foggy darkness at the bottom of the hill.

Took my first ski of the season at sundown today. Given today's weather, much less this week's...and the time of day it beat my expectations. The hill is some extra workout in that sugar but I left smiling.

Got out on the trail just before 8:00am with one of the last open parking spots. Thank you to the Loppet for continuing to make it work, and extend the course. The new World Cup 180° turn is a nice addition, looking forward to faster conditions! Snow was otherwise okay, but sugar was getting pretty deep on the up-hills. Good for training those legs though.

We have opened another 350 meter section of trail after Coach's Corner that features a new cutoff for this year's World Cup sprint loop. The far end of the loop is a sharp right downhill corner, so be prepared to navigate this instead of going straight up to 4 Corners like normal.

Mint conditions at Theo Wirth this morning on the 2.5K loop - nice, fast and easy skating and great looking double classic tracks for most of the course. Lots of new snow being made for future trails. Nice job on all of the grooming, Wirth trails crew!!

The recent "cold" weather has improved the trail conditions. Started this afternoon with a really good skate deck. By the end, the groups of skiers had churned up the uphills enough that they were getting fairly powdery. Only slightly icy spot was on the right side at the start as you are going down the second hill away from green meadows (the slight right before you leave the woods).
