I was impressed by the conditions. The snow was wet but everything was holding up well.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good. Fast with nice control early in the day, messier later on.
Went out twice with the twins today; very early, then again around noon. Early in the morning, the snow was super, very fast and great edging, climbing the donut was a breeze. Later on, as temps warmed, glide decreased a bit and the few inches of sugar that's been present so far this season became quite loose. Climbing the donut was chore, but nothing wrong with pain equals gain, I suppose!
No matter what conditons may be, being able to ski now is a treat; seems the trick for nice snow is timing. Blue FastWax was OK both times out.

Morning

[ Good skis ]
Conditions: As has been reported, amazingly good both classic and skate.
Lots of skiers having fun...in the moment and with much heart! The groomers are really magicians!

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: It is holding up. Got there about 8 AM.
Getting soft in a few places from the warm temps and traffic but the glide is still pretty good. A little mashed taters on the climb but I've seen worse. Classic track is good for the most part. I missed the klister by a little by using Rex OV for coarse wet snow. Needed something for a little more ice I think.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
An inch or two of slush over everything. The track was skied over in a few places but generally looked OK. There were a few dirty spots showing and the corner going into the practice field is starting to look kind of thin. So far so good, but a refresh is going to be needed before too long.

Surprisingly good. Snow was transformed and damp. Track firm. Some dirt appearing.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Great for stride and skate. Rain did no appreciable damage.
Grip tape was working well from 11 - noon, as were Dave's crowns (so he said). Tracks were glazed on flats but OK on climbs, and of couse both trax and trail were lightning fast. Skate deck firm with just enough loose stuff for control. Really nice skiing!

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Moderately soft and sugary but decent for skating.
Skied starting around 8pm after the rain ended. First hand accounts indicated fairly heavy usage earlier in the evening. I had the trails almost to myself but found them in pretty good condition. It was mostly a thin layer of mushy sugary snow on top of a firm base. It was breaking down a little more on the big climb.

Evening
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Fantastic skating under almost any circumstances.
Classic skied for a little while. While the track was decent, my technique needed some work as did my waxing so I gave that up. Skating was actually really good. A thin layer of mashed potatoes on the whole loop made for a great soft feel and it was even pretty fast. Its getting a little dirty in places but not too bad yet.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Some photos from this morning. Skiing was good and the track was holding up although the temp was already 40. Parking lot was full just before 9:00 when I left. No temps cold enough to make snow in the forecast. :(. A reminder that the short loop is about 1.33 Ks as measured on ArcView for those that are keeping track.
