Very windy. 2k groomed. Looks like the extra back 1/2 k was being worked on. I was there about 4 pm, only 2 other guys out skiing.

They're blowin' and movin' snow. [ As previously reported, Elm Creek has a deer hunt scheduled this weekend so there will be no skiing until sometime next week -- Ed. ]

Elm Creek started to make snow Monday night and will continue to make snow 24/7 as long as the temps permit. Elm Creek Park will be closed this weekend as there will be a deer management shotgun hunt throughout the park reserve. We anticipate opening our ski trails next week...stay tuned for updates! This looks to be the earliest we have ever opened our ski trails.

Snow guns are deployed but not needed just yet. Maybe 3+ inches on the ground in Maple Grove so far, as of 10:30 am.

I was out for an early morning jog and heard a quite a bit of noise. After investigation, I found the snowmaking guns. First snow?

Three Rivers has done some work at Elm Creek on the Northern Lights Trail. Widening the trail and filling in low spots and adding a couple of culverts. We might have to be a little more careful skiing early or if there is low snow however as there is now some gravel in spots where there didn't used to be.
