Notes

Trails are on the golf course. Some nice hills but most of the course is pretty exposed. There is one back leg that is quite shaded and seems to hold snow long after the rest of the course loses it. Rentals at the chalet.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
We rolled the trails on Monday before the big freeze. There's not a lot of snow out there.
Grooming plan: We're going to roll the trails again today and if there is enough coverage we'll do a full groom tomorrow (otherwise we'll just roll it again). We aren't going to touch it Saturday or Sunday to hopefully preserve the base that we have.

The groomer has not been out yet but its clear people have been out there. There are a good amount of spots where the grass pokes through especially where people have skied already. You need to be careful at the top of some hills and in spots where the trail crosses the asphalt. I'd probably suggest classic if you want to get out there, skate only if you like double pulling and going through powder. Real nice snow overall-just need more snow.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
No grooming, but better than expected conditions for classical, especially with no-wax skiis. A few skiers had been out before, leaving tracks I followed. The trees and topography trapped snow well, so was able to do most of what is usually groomed as the long loops. The clubhouse is closed so far and no satellite toilets yet.
