Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Great conditions at Anvil today with recent grooming, and mostly good tracks throughout. The base appears deep with some tree debris on the surface. A few of the longer uphills had no tracks which made climbing a bit more challenging. Downhills are very fast today. Looking forward to more snow to slow things down a bit. A lot of people were out enjoying the mild temps. It's so great to see this trail and Nicolet North being groomed more frequently. Thank you groomers!

Excellent. Trails groomed recently. Had the privilege of meeting groomers today as they were out again this morning grooming. Found the nine mile trail and the lake loop trail segments a bit to narrow to avoid interfering with the classic skiers and when the classic tracks are set finding it unavoidable skiing over the set tracks. First time skiing this jewel in our national forest system and very happy to report that the grooming operation is top shelf! Thank you for making my vacation day adventure worth the travel to the northwoods.

Good condition with 6" base all is groomed and tracked, watch for changes in direction on one way signs on east and west trails. We have some debris from the recent wind storms, trail should set well overnight with colder temps.

Great condition on all trails with a 7" base all groomed and tracked, set up nice and hard before I left the parking lot. If you don't mind the cold this could be a chance to have the trail to yourself. Trail is groomed good for both classic and skating.
