We survived the rain and trails are much better than I anticipated. They are fully snow covered and pretty fast and controlled. Make sure to bring rock skis as there were several branches down but they were grooming as I was out there at 8:00 and as always the groomers do a great job and will probably have things cleaned up before long.

Definitely worth the one-hour drive from Oshkosh. I skied the entire Red/Oaks loop. No bare spots. Although tracks haven't been set recently there is enough there for an enjoyable ski. 20 cars in the parking lot when I left, so others must have found it worthwhile to ski as well.

Classic skied The Oaks and the Lighted Trail. Full coverage, shallow set tracks cut on top of a solid base with the 3-4 inches of dry snow we received yesterday. Some washout on the turns, but the groomers have done a terrific job of maximizing our skiing with the minimal snows (so far!) this season. Just beautiful in the woods. Carpe Skiem.

Fast and furious skating in 6 degree temps! Super fun skating The Oaks Trail which is normally reserved for the striders. Thinly groomed snow over an atomic ice base. No classic tracks on the entire system. Hopefully snow tonight! (There was a large snow bike event taking place earlier today -- great to everyone embracing a WI Winter!). Carpe Skiem!

Many happy faces today! Great skating throughout the park, classic tracks holding up in where double tracked. Great pole plant, fast and flat conditions in 25 degrees. The parking lot had the most cars and trucks in it I have ever seen! Great to see people enjoying winter. Carpe Skiem.

Fantastic conditions today with a trace of new snow groomed into the base with perfection! Definitely worth the drive up from Milwaukee.

Classic skied all 4 trail segments on Friday afternoon. Pine (blue) first. Oaks (red) second. Birches (green) third. Maples (yellow) last. The first 3 segments had shallow but decent tracks set. Maples was packed but did not have any tracks set. It was my first time skiing at Reforestation Camp and really enjoyed it!

We had an excellent ski today. Skied the yellow and green trails. Great base with about a half of an inch of new, powdery snow on top. There was very little debris on the trails. Just a few spots where you could see a little ice under the new snow, but nothing horrible. Temperatures were good for skiing and the extensive tree cover protects you from the wind. I had last skied here decades ago and had forgotten what a nice trail system it is. There aren't any big hills so it is a good place to ski early in the season.

Good conditions! Skate deck was freshly groomed with new (though) shallow tracks cut for the striders. Best skiing of the season! Light snow falling in the area tonight will help cover some of the thin spots, you will not be disappointed to make the drive the the RFC. Carpe Skiem.
