Morning
Observation
[ Trails Open: Partial, Bare ground ]
Unfortunately, we no longer have enough snow base on the ground to continue grooming for safe ski conditions at this time. I would not recommend skiing at this the trails at this time. Trails are bare in many spots and very icy in others. Please continue to use caution and good common sense when enjoying the trails to stay safe.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
All ski trails were groomed this morning. The recent bout of warm weather mixed with the snow and rain have left most of the trails with a very thin ski base that, under tree coverage, is extremely icy and bare. While it is possible to ski the trails, please use caution when enjoying the trails. Rock skis are recommended.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
The full trail system was groomed this morning. Classic tracks have not been set as of yet. The skate deck remains in good shape, but as before, some bare spots are present. Pleases be cautious and watch for dirty, thin, and rocky areas on the trail. The skate ranges between 1-3" thick and is decently firm. B or rock skis are recommended.

Morning
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
All ski trails have a good base set on the skate deck. Unfortunately, we do not yet have enough snow to set tracks for classic skiing. Some bare spots do still exist on the trail where the wind has blown away snow and underneath heavy foliage; as such, I would recommend only using rock skis when on the trails. The snow condition is relatively soft with a 2-3" base in most areas. Stay safe, stay warm, and enjoy the trails!

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
First time out at Zillmer this year and conditions were great for the amount of snow we have. The tracks were not set but the skate deck was in good condition. We had no problems using our good skis. Reagan did a great job grooming with snow we have.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
All loops were packed and groomed today, not enough snow to set track. Maybe a one inch base. Conditions are skiable but keep expectations low. Expect alot of debris in conifer areas and rocky areas exposed, especially on the east part of the yellow. I will be retiring in mid-February and Ranger Andrew Stracka will be taking over the grooming. I've enjoyed the 20 plus years providing this service to the skiing community. Enjoy.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails were not groomed lately, they had several inches of fluffy snow. Most places had informal classic tracks, which had its challenges. Some hiker footprints. Still fun to ski, very few people, beautiful views. Skied most of the yellow, some red and green. Brown had lots of debris.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
I skied the red trail twice and was pleasantly surprised. No bare spots. A couple twigs. Rocks? Did not notice any. The hills were fun and I was able to go pretty fast down them. I built a fire in the stove in the warming shelter, that always helps. The shelter needs newspaper and kindling to help start the fire in the stove. I left a box of tissue and hand wipes and a lighter. The two outside lights on the north side didn't work.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Very thin snow cover. Avoid the yellow, many rock tops sticking up. Not enough snow to set track. Packed and groomed all loops today.
