CLCF Nordic (Formerly Fox Hill Nordic) Groomed this morning, the snow compressed to minimal conditions. The fields are ok, but without much bonding and a base, the woods are poor. B skis.

Groomed the fields this morning. They still look to be in good skating condition with a solid base, enough fluff for control, but a few thin spots. Use B skis. Note:The Fox Hill Nordic name will change to CLCF Nordic in the near future. CLCF is Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skated 25 K today on a trail refreshed by a dusting that Jerry blended into the base. For skating, the eastern meadow trails are good to very good. I only did the first loop in the west forest trails, the one that comes right next to Sleeping Dragon Rd. at the top, and it all was good. The rest of the west trails were groomed, but I didn't ski them. Please pay a daily fee or join as a member, but most of all, try these trails! Fox Hills is now called Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation (CLCF).

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Fox Hill Nordic is now CLCF Nordic - all trails were groomed this morning. The best skiing is in the fields where there is good coverage with a few thin spots. We are open to the public with a $8 daily fee or an annual membership. The trails in the woods are thin but skiable.

The trails in the fields were scarified with enough fluff for control and fast skating conditions. Use B ski as there are thin spots.

Kudos to Jerry for making the most of what little snow we had. Great way to end 2017 with a great evening ski and the full moon rising. Trails were better than the 10k just skiied in Boulder Junction where we had a seven inch base. Looking forward to starting the new year with a couple treks around the upper meadow!

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
All trails open, tid-teched this morning and in good condition. All skis fine on the east trails (Meadows, Prairie) with it's near total grass, no rocks base. Full cover on the west (hills) trails as well but B or rock skis recommended because of the possibility of cutting through the dry snow into the dirt, root and rock base. No classic tracks.
