Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We groomed around 70km of trail this morning and evening, working in the 4-5" new snow that fell early this morning. Mostly just packing since it was blowing. The wind made some nice drifts on the singletrack classic trails. Wind died down completely around 9 and moon was shining nicely lighting up the snow drenched forest beautifully. We will be back out in the morning setting track and combing skate trails.

Firsthand: Freestyle Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Fantastic conditions. The new snow from last night was groomed on all the double track this morning. Snow moved backed in this afternoon accumulating to 2" and bringing season snowfall total to 4 feet. An afternoon skate ski was fun blasting through the fluff snow. We will be grooming all the double track again in the morning and grooming skate trails as well. The fat bike course is riding great and is on tap for grooming tomorrow night. Please allow at least 12-16 hours to set up before riding to have best conditions possible after the grooming.

While temps hovered at or below zero on Saturday, the trails at Maplelag were in excellent shape! I skied Wavy Gravy, Island Lakes, and Twin Lakes, and it was picture perfect.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Dreamlike conditions: sunshine and no wind. I had the chance of skiing Wavy Gravy and Island Lake in the morning, then Roy's Run, Rootin Tootin, and portions of Sukkerbusk in the afternoon- total of 28K. Tracks in pristine condition, highly enjoyable outdoors exercise. Thank you, looking forward to next time!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We tracked all the singletrack classic trails today and touched up the skate lanes. After a morning low of -33, turned out to be a postcard day with temp near 0 no wind, and sunshine. The skiing was a bit slow at first but once the teams here for ski camp clicked in and started kicking, the snow broke down and polished up nicely. Really looking forward to tomorrow, the tracks will set up even more after the skier traffic, still clean and well defined, and be bomber day classic. All skate lanes will be renovated and combed early morning and ready at sunrise.

Winter wonderland - beyond description. Sukkerbusk twice, Mother North Star, Jib Fly, Sap Run, and Twin Lakes - pristine conditions on fresh powder. With no wind and plenty of sunshine, the low temperatures were not a factor. A perfect day on the trails!

Grooming Scheduling
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
It is cold for sure, -30F this morning, but we are grooming and folks are out skiing. No wind, sunshine and temps warming up to skiable temps when dressed proper making for fantastic skiing. We haven't groomed the outer trails yet with the cooler temps but grooming daily on the most skied trails keeping them fresh and clean. We will be grooming outer trails tomorrow for the weekend. Great weekend to classic ski! The fat bike trail is setting up nice and riding great.

Evening
Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Another 4-5"overnight bringing four day total of new snow around a foot. We didn't groom as much in the morning with the wind blowing like crazy but enough trails to satisfy the skiers hitting the tracks today. Nice job to the Cooper Nordic ski team skating in all the new slow snow. We were back out at dusk evening cleaning up trails, setting new tracks but the wind was blowing snow back in. Also this evening Ben was back with his groomer making two passes on the Twin Lakes fat bike trail. We will be back out in the morning grooming on the entire trail system.

Fantastic conditions. We groomed nearly 100km today, working in the new snow that fell this morning which was around 4-5" bringing our season total to 40". Snow started falling after we finished grooming with 2" already falling by 9pm. We will be back out in the morning, grooming on 75km of trail including the fat bike trail.

Fantastic day of skiing! Temps in the morning were in the low 20s with a few snowflakes dropping in between peeks of sun. Enjoyed the morning skiing at the skate loops, so enjoyable - smooth, flat surface, fast natural snow, and lots of gently rolling terrain in the woods. Switched to classic in the afternoon, skiing as the sun dropped, casting beautiful shadows across the snowy woods. Great classic trails, some fun ripping downhills that you can ride the rails, and a good mix of strideable hills. Just awesome.
