I hadn't skied at Como in years, so it was great to be out there today with so many others. The classic tracks are good. They had seen a lot of use when I started at 1:30, so there are places where the track washes out, but it is nothing bad. Skate deck looks firm. All in all, a great day to be outside skiing.

Skied the 5k loop Friday night at around 8pm. Tracks were super firm and fast, but the course was really icy from the past day's sunshine and skiers. Still enjoyable, but be careful on the downhills! I took a couple spills.

Trails had been groomed in the morning to take care of the drifts that Thursday's snow and wind brought. Lots of use during the day on Friday was evident but the trails were still solid. Tracks were good.

Conditions at Como were excellent for classic today. Great to be skiing near home again! My only complaint is that the lights by the zoo were not on, though it wasn't really a problem with the reflections from the clouds tonight. It wasn't at all crowded while I was there from 4:30 to about 7, so let's get out there and show our appreciation to the groomers!

There is enough snow that there is a good base but the snow is very soft for skate skiing. Classic tracks were in good condition.

Classic tracks soft, and mostly in tact. Skate track looked soft as well. Not windy, light snow falling, quite pleasant. Many folks out skiing. Thanks groomers!

Got on the trail at Noon, just as the crew was pulling off the Cat. Fresh corduroy! The skate deck is still a little soft, give it a few days to set up hard and fast. Still, good skiing! I also chatted with a classic skier, and she stated that the tracks are in good condition. Bundle up for the West Winds! It's a chilly one out there, but a sunny day for a fresh snow ski.

Looked as if the entire course has been rolled. Corduroy and tracks being added to/put down as I skied. Very soft now, of course, but it is going to be beautiful! Coverage is excellent, even under the bridge. A wee bit of grass poking through the tracks in one spot. The wind is trying its best to undermine grooming efforts. For now, so happy to have some east side ski options again! Thank you, groomers!

Como has been rolled (a nice new capability). Coverage is good now - can feel asphalt and ice in a number of places with poles. The trail is about 4.75k, shortened in a few places from 2 yrs ago: removed a choke point between the sand trap at 14G by shifting slightly east; turned one tree earlier near 4G so the turn is not over asphalt; and skipped the 0.3k loop on the ridge at the 2nd fairway. Snow under the bridge is good - looks like snow was moved there. Como looks promising.
