Laddies Loppet Short Track Coverage

Racing action picked up again Saturday afternoon with the fast-paced short track racing around the Maplelag complex Saturday. In the womens elite race, Jenna Rinehart made a clean break with the mens comp leaders and went on to solo in for the womens title. The mens elite race proved to be an exciting battle with a tight lead pack. As the laps wound down, a splinter group of four separated themselves from the field, with TJ Woodruff eventually making the decisive move to take the victory. Racing at Maplelag wraps up Sunday with the cross-country events.
