  • Head Nordic Coach: Momentum NW (Newcastle, WA):
    Momentum NW is a vibrant and growing youth cross country ski program based in the Puget Sound. Momentum NW is ready to welcome a new Head Coach to help develop the Puget Sound’s premier
    youth cross country ski program. The Head Coach role is the keystone in our coaching community to
    help grow, inspire, teach, and support our young athletes as they achieve their goals in the sport of
    Nordic ski racing.

  • Youth Head Coach: Endurance United (St. Paul, MN):
    Endurance United is seeking candidates for the role of Youth Head Coach, with primary focus on the Skiwerx program. The EU Youth Head Coach is responsible for the curriculum, organization, and lead coaching role for the EU Skiwerx program. This program is subject to change based upon season (i.e. spring, summer, fall, winter). The ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated to provide and implement their own vision for this program, under the guidance of the Program Director and Executive Director.   • Executive Director: NENSA (New Gloucester, ME):
    The New England Nordic Ski Association (NENSA) is looking for its next Executive Director to lead this vibrant and thriving XC Ski Non-Profit Organization. Founded in 1995, NENSA is a member-supported service organization that promotes the culture of cross-country skiing by creating opportunities for youth, athletes, coaches, officials and skiers of all levels. NENSA also provides the support structure necessary to bring cross-country skiers to their highest potential at regional, national and international events.

  • Assistant Nordic Coach: St. Lawrence University (Canton, NY):
    St. Lawrence University is currently seeking applicants for a Graduate Assistant Coach for Men's & Women's Nordic Ski. This 9-month position (August 2022 – May 2023) is targeted toward graduate students seeking a master's degree. Remuneration includes a very competitive coaching stipend, student health insurance, and eligibility for tuition remission (6 graduate classes per year in the University's graduate program). St Lawrence offers Graduate programs in Counselling and Human Development; Educational Leadership; and General Studies in Education. Responsibilities include providing instruction and assisting in practice preparation, game day duties, recruiting, and administrative tasks as assigned by the Head Coach.   • Sport Development Manager: CXC Skiing (Madison, WI):
    Central Cross country Skiing (CXC) is looking for an experienced Sport Development Manager to oversee its programs. This is a great opportunity to work with club leaders, coaches, volunteers, athletes, industry representatives and be involved in managing many aspects of the sport. The ideal candidate will be a competent leader able to provide guidance that enhances performance in a manner which incorporates the organization’s vision and culture. The position requires a person who has a good understanding of competition programs for all ages and abilities, strong organizational skills, and a strong ability to interact with staff and volunteers.


John Schmitt Passes Away

John Schmitt, known across the Midwest skiing community as the voice of many great races including the Birkie and Loppet, passed away earlier this month at the age of 84. A funeral service is set for Monday, Sept 27th, in Shoreview, MN.

Memorial to Phil Zink

John Fitzgerald pays respect to Phil Zink, one of the developers of the Tidd-Tech grooming equipment and huge presence in the Nordic skiing community. Zink passed away earlier this month.
