    Minneapolis Southwest High School is seeking applicants for the position of Head (Boys/Girls) Nordic Ski Coach for Winter 2020-21. Southwest has a strong tradition of competitiveness in Nordic skiing including a state runner up finish in 2019-20. Qualifications/requirement include: successfully lead, develop, teach and provide a positive athletic experience for interested athletes grades 7-12. Program head should have a comprehensive knowledge of the sport of Nordic Skiing and be willing to meet all/any MSHSL & Southwest coaching requirements. Supervision is required on all school sponsored transportation. Team practices a Theodore Wirth Park. Head coach is also responsible for planning and overseeing all practice and race schedules.     Gogebic Community College seeks candidates for a part-time coed Head Nordic Ski Coach. The Head Nordic Ski Coach is responsible for all aspects of the program from the recruitment and coaching of skiers to the scheduling of contests to oversight team travel. The head coach assumes full day-to-day responsibility for the maintenance and care of our ski team while doing so to build and maintain a nationally competitive program. Qualified candidates will have demonstrable knowledge of the sport as well as the communication and organizational skills required to develop and sustain a successful program. Candidates must be committed to building a program that values both the academic and competitive successes of our student-athletes.

Bjorn Lasserud Memorial

Midwest skiing legend Bjorn Lasserud passed away on Wednesday, March 11th. Odd Osland has contributed a nice memorial to his dear friend Lasserud. A memorial service will be held in late May.

CXC Annual Bike Drawing
